SR Trim

Initial entrant, SR, is super affordable, and the standard equipment reflects that. That's not to suggest that there aren't options. Drivers can choose between an extended cab, matched to a 6.1-foot cargo bed, or opt for the crew cab and its 5-footer bed. Two-wheel drive or part-time four-wheel, accompanied by a low-range transfer case are other options. Regardless, the SR comes standard equipped with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine, able to generate 159 horsepower, mated to either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. An available engine option is offered by the 3.5-liter V6, producing 278 horsepower, operated by the six-speed automatic.

Other notable features include the SR's durable composite cargo bed (no bed liner required), sliding rear window, dark grille, mobile cleat tie-downs, backup camera tucked into the tailgate release, all balanced on 16-inch steel wheels. The SR's interior offers a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, adjustable lumbar support for the driver, cloth seats, Entune stereo with steering-wheel-mounted controls, USB, and Bluetooth capability. On the exterior, expect details on the SR5 to represent chrome details on the back bumper, along with chrome accents on the gray grille. The SR's steel wheels can be replaced with 16-inch alloys. Fog Lights tuck into the SR5's bumper, and convenience features like cruise control and remote keyless access are included. A leather-wrapped steering wheel, a privacy-glass rear window are also standard, and the Entune system is enhanced with satellite radio, navigation, and Siri Eyes Free voice commands.

TRD Sport Trim

Up the athleticism with the TRD Sport trim. Sharing body style configurations with the SR5, the V6 engine is standard fare, and, depending on choice of 2WD or 4WD, drivers can opt for six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission, designed for ultimate performance. Other features include aesthetic enhancements like body-colored rear bumper and fender flares, integrated turn signals in the exterior mirrors, a hood scoop, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The sliding window is now powered, and the cargo bed is equipped with a 400-watt power outlet. Pushbutton smart becomes available on those TRD Sport models with automatic transmissions. The seven-inch touchscreen broadcasts navigation and enhanced Entune audio perks.

TRD Off-Road Trim

Ready for the off-road, the Tacoma TRD Off-Road mimics the TRD Sport in many ways, but exterior aesthetics set them apart. Look for black, textured fenders, chrome bumper in the rear, and the absence of the hood scoop. The 16-inch alloy wheels, Bilstein monotube shocks, locking rear differential, skid plates, and off-road traction control, featuring driver-select settings and crawl control are also dead giveaways.

Optional equipment for the Sport and Off-Road feature automatic climate control, sunroof, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic climate control.

Limited Trim

For ultimate refinement, the Limited is where it's at. Available in crew cab configuration, powered by the V6, the Limited features a short bed, available in 2WD or 4WD. Leather-trimmed seats, 18-inch wheels, and body-colored flares with back bumper to match are just a few of the details that distinguish the Limited from the rest of the Tacoma trims.
